Siloam Springs Animal Services receives $2,000 surprise contribution from Cherokee Casino West Siloam Springs
WEST SILOAM SPRINGS, Okla. – Siloam Springs Animal Services can now provide more assistance in caring for pets in need with the help of Cherokee Casino West Siloam Springs. The casino recently contributed $2,000 to the organization.
The casino’s donation will benefit Tailwaggers, a not-for-profit organization within Siloam Springs Animal Services that works to adopt and rescue animals in need as well as provide assistance to families who live under low income guidelines with spaying and neutering pets.
“We thought the casino confused us with someone else. We were surprised and elated to find out they were giving the contribution to us. It will definitely help us with spaying and neutering and adopting out pets,” said Don Clark, Siloam Springs Animals Services manager.
The surprise contribution was part of Cherokee Casino’s Anything Can Happen community support initiative. Cherokee Casinos and Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa have recently provided support to seven pet assistance programs and animal aid organizations that neighbor the casinos.
“We are happy to be able to help support local organizations that work towards preventing pet neglect and finding homes for pets in need, especially in our local communities,” said David Stewart, CEO of Cherokee Nation Entertainment, which operates Cherokee Casinos and Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa.
Cherokee Casino West Siloam Springs is located off of U.S. Highway 412 and State Highway 59 in West Siloam Springs. For more information, visit www.cherokeestarrewards.com or call (800) 754-4111.
